Cindy Seaton

Owner/Instructor/ Director of the CSDA Competition Team

Cindy comes to this area with a wide range of training and experience. She began her training at Miss Tommie’s School of Dance in Winnsboro, LA at an early age; ultimately advancing into the assistant teacher position. Cindy is a former member of Twin City Ballet in Monroe, LA under the direction of Linda Lavender Ford, where she had the opportunity to study with world renowned dance teachers and choreographers. Through these diverse mediums, she has acquired training in ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, lyrical, and tumbling. Cindy has owned and operated her own dance studios for more than 25 years.
Cindy is also a member of Twin City Ballet Professional Board and Dance Teachers United. She has won many awards with her competition teams as well as wins in overall competitions. Her competition team has even won Overall National Title twice. Cindy has also won several awards for her choreography.  Cindy never tires of learning new steps or techniques, and remains up to date by attending many workshops and conventions yearly.
Despite her rigorous teaching schedule, Cindy has held many cheer and dance line camps. She has currently choreographed for nine different Dancelines across Northern Louisiana. Cindy Seaton Dance Academy has been host for workshops with many well known teachers.

Emanuel Washington

Instructor/ Assistant Director of the CSDA Competition Team

Emanuel Washington is a native of Lake Charles, LA. Emanuel began performing in high school as the Head Drum Major of the Washington Marion Marchin’ Jukebox Band. Emanuel went on to LSU where he found his passion for dance becoming a member of Legacy Dancers and he later became president and lead choreographer for the group. He began training in the LSU Dance Program where he was a 2 year ensemble member and choreographing in his senior year later receiving his B.A. from LSU.
Emanuel is a master class instructor/faculty member of The Platinum Dance Experience and staff member for Platinum National Dance Competition. Emanuel’s credits include: “Roots”, “Bolden”, Dawn Richard, Debbie Allen, Darren Henson, Hailey Rowe, and Darrius “Deezle” Henderson. Emanuel’s choreography has been awarded on the Regional and National competition levels and competed in and won National Showdown Finales. As an instructor, Emanuel pushes dancers to maximize their potential and exceed their goals. Emanuel is also the Assistant Director of the CSDA Competition Team. He has won many awards for his choreography.

Logan Wallace

Instructor

Logan has danced since the age of 3.  Logan is a former member of Twin City Ballet Company and the NSU Danceline.  She was a member of the Cindy Seaton Dance Academy Competition team for 10 years and also was an assistant before becoming an instructor at the studio.  Logan has also choreographed for many dancelines.  She is currently the Caldwell Parish High School Danceline coach. Logan continues her dance education through workshops throughout the year.

Jessica Gajeski May

Instructor

Jessica danced at Cindy Seaton Dance Academy as a child until she graduated high school where she won many awards dancing in various competitions.  She attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana where she was a part of the elite jazz dance team, the Demon Dazzlers, and was the team’s captain for two years.  She has furthered her dance education by attending many workshops and master classes with very talented teachers and choreographers.  While attending undergraduate school to attain her Bachelors of Science degree in Psychology with a concentration of addiction studies, she taught Jazz and Hip Hop Senior and Junior classes and ballet, tap and jazz preschool-2st grade classes at Cindy Seaton Dance Academy.  She took a brief period away from teaching to attain her Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy.  She is currently a full time pediatric occupational therapist, working at Building Futures Pediatric Therapy where she enjoys being a part of the aiding of children ages 0-21 live life to their fullest potential.  She hopes to one day bring the joy of dance to children with special needs. Jessica is excited to be teaching dance for CSDA again.  She is currently teaching pointe, technique classes and she also teaches our Mommy and Me class where she gets to enjoy sharing her passion for dance with her baby girl, AVA!
